Thumble terms of use

Using Thumble

Thumble turns supported Apple devices into programmable local control surfaces. You are responsible for reviewing controller layouts and bindings before using them with another application. Do not use Thumble to violate law, another service's terms, or another person's rights.

ChatGPT Controller Builder

The Controller Builder creates portable drafts. It does not install controllers, control your Mac, or guarantee that a suggested binding matches a game or application. The native Thumble app performs a separate validation and asks for approval before adding a new setup. You remain responsible for checking the labels, key bindings, layout, and source confidence.

Availability and changes

The app and plugin may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn. Draft and download links are intentionally short-lived. We may limit abusive traffic and reject malformed or unsafe artifacts.

Intellectual property

You keep rights you have in controller descriptions you provide. You grant Thumble the limited permission needed to process that material and return the requested draft. Thumble branding, software, and original site content remain owned by their respective rights holders. Do not imply that Thumble is made or endorsed by OpenAI.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, Thumble is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Thumble's publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the product. Always keep a keyboard or other recovery input available when testing a new controller.
